Moving to Victoria from Edmonton at the end of next month. I have been on vyvanse for 3 years, how do I go about trying to connect with a BC doctor to continue my prescription?

Basically what the title says...born and raised in the southern interior of BC, lived in Edmonton most of my adult life (turning 30 this year and have lived in Edmonton for 9.5 years)—so I'm not as familiar with the BC healthcare system (apart from it being difficult to access lol...which is also an issue on a national level) since I was mostly a kid/teenager there.

I plan on applying for MSP and fair pharmacare as soon as possible, and my prescribing doctor (psychiatrist) is going to issue me 6 months of meds before I leave, so I won't run out before I officially become a BC resident. I know finding a doctor is difficult at best, but if anyone with this particular experience moving from out of province (since vyvanse is a controlled substance) can offer any advice or point me in the right direction for who to contact when the time comes I'd really appreciate it!

I'm not looking for an ADHD assessment as I can request a letter from my current doctor for "proof," so is there a way to get in contact with a prescribing doc faster? Not sure/don't think a random walk-in GP would be able to.
