First 1q run

Possibly obligatory post. I've been researching health and Coins per kill bonus which together pushed me over the edge. Now I really need to get ISm or WAm in order to cut down my run time.

I've been building a Sydney happy hour directory

I've built the most comprehensive happy hour and pub specials directory in the Sydney region. I've been scraping every pub website to find everything that looks like a weekly deal and then making it into a searchable database.

I'm also trying to come up with interesting ways to present the data like my statistics page

The biggest struggle I'm having is that the data can get stale quickly and after a month of building some of it is already out of date but the time to re ingest takes away from pulling in new data which puts an effective cap on how big I can grow the database. I'm trying to find new ways to do validation but there always seems to be another edge case that comes up.

[Web] Dusk Route - Happy hour search engine starting out in Sydney

I'm a solo engineer and I've spent months scraping thousands of bar websites in Sydney to put together a searchable database. My data is pretty solid and I'm starting to get some pages indexed in google which is bringing in a few views but no signups.

I'm looking for some people to play around with the site and see if there's anything I've missed or anywhere I can improve. So far no one has signed up so I've only got my own testing on that side of the site.

Any help is much appreciated

The website is https://duskroute.com/ . It might run a bit slower outside of Australia since that's where the hosting currently is.

It’s (almost) always happy hour somewhere

I've been collecting data on specials from all the bars in Sydney and put together a chart covering what's available in the Greater Sydney area. Hope this is interesting to someone.

How do I deal with fast and ranged in champ?

For my tournament runs I can usually keep everything else away but fasts come in too quick and ranged gets shots off before I can kill them. They gradually overwhelm the wall regen and once that goes down it's only a few land mines before they take me out.

I've attached the mods I'm using in tournament for a hybrid build. My UWs are GT, SL, DW, BH, CL, SM, ILM. Currently earning 1q a day with no masteries purchased and 16 card slots. I currently have 600 stones earning about 250/week.

I've got a few possible options but I'm not sure what's going to give me enough boost to move from champs rank 15 towards champ 10.

  • Putting levels into Fast speed and ranged range. Doesn't hurt, but feels like I could spend lab time better.
  • ILM is at 11/5(+2)/180s. For 730 stones I could take it to 11/6(+2)/120s but my wall will still fail at the same point and I don't think it moves me much further.
  • Damage mastery. 750 stones gets me an immediate damage boost and I'll probably be able to afford to keep the lab running. But looking at the enemy stats, champion health goes up about 5x in 100 waves so it doesn't seem like a huge boost
  • Super tower mastery. 1000 stones, similar to DM but better long term results.
  • Effective paths tells me 673 stones into CL and SL gives me a 65% damage boost.
  • Second wind mastery. 1000 stones + labs gets me up to 10x regen which seems like it would soak up 500 waves of champs damage and also helps with eHP farming.
  • RPC mastery. I'm at mod level 166 now and stuck with a mythic DC. More shards won't help in the short term.

My analysis seems like SW mastery would be the best short term boost to stones but I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing.

Do people care about beer prices?

So my thought is, what if I could map out the price of a schooner in every pub in Sydney (where I live). Would people find that useful or would I just be wasting my time?

Getting this put together would be a lot of work so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth me spending the effort.

I feel like I’ve hit a “one more thing” inflection point

I’m an expert in starting projects which never launch because it always feels like there’s "one more thing" that I need to get right before it’s ready to share.

But I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’ve got something that even though I keep coming up with new ideas, I can look back at all those things I've put together and see a worthwhile product.

Anyone else feel the relief at this point?
