I think people underestimate how much texting style reveals about patience

Some people immediately answer the exact question they were asked. Others jump ahead, respond to something else, or send several messages before you've even finished reading the first one.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I've noticed that someone's texting habits can reveal a lot about how they approach conversations in general.

Would you use AI to help write an apology?

Question

Or would that feel too artificial?

I can see both sides. AI could help someone organize their thoughts and communicate clearly, but an apology also needs to feel personal.

What do you think?

The weirdest part about AI texting is that it can help you sound more like yourself

Discussion

Sometimes you know exactly what you mean, but you can't find the right words.

You give AI a messy explanation, a few thoughts, maybe some context, and ask it to help organize everything without changing your tone.

The result isn't necessarily “AI speaking for you.” Sometimes it's just your own thoughts presented more clearly.

I think that's a much more interesting use of AI than simply asking it to generate a reply from scratch.

AI is the only thing that can misunderstand you and then confidently explain what you “actually meant”

Discussion

And somehow you end up apologizing and rewriting the prompt. 😭

Would you trust AI to write the first message to someone you like?

The first message always feels harder because you only get one chance to make a decent impression. AI can generate plenty of options, but I am not sure if using one would make the conversation feel less genuine. Would you actually send an AI generated opener without changing it?
