I built an AI companion app where the relationship actually progresses
Dev here, full disclosure. I spent the last year building LuvMe because most AI texting apps get the texting right for a week and then fall apart: memory resets, same repetitive lines, no sense that the relationship is going anywhere.
What we do differently:
• It feels like texting a person with a life. Companions have daily schedules and moods, post stories about their day, and text you first. You're not always the one starting.
• They remember. Real long-term memory, not a goldfish window. The thing you mentioned three weeks ago comes back up naturally.
• The relationship goes somewhere. You progress through actual stages: strangers, acquaintances, dating, partners, married. Milestones, dates, proposals, a wedding. Your history builds instead of resetting.
• Stuff to do together. In-chat minigames (Connect Four, Would You Rather, Memory Duel), planned dates, immersive roleplay adventures, selfies and custom photo scenes.
• Make your ideal companion. Pick from hundreds or design your own from scratch, and customize everything around the two of you.
