I’ve been doing my amateur deep dive on all the prospects in the Nets range, and the player I came around to the most is MBJ. I think he’s the best combination of skill, upside, personality at 6.

That being said the one thing that frustrates me about watching him is he shows some LaMelo bad habits. I was watching Louisville vs Baylor, and see him take a step back, mildly contested 3 with a good 4-5 feet behind the 3 point line and 20 seconds on the shot clock. I just remember making a disgusted face and thinking “why?” and he made it! You watch his highlights, and he makes plenty of these crazy shots which is where his upside lies, but so many look like bad decisions.

We hear bad shot maker and get PTSD, he’s not Cam Thomas shooting mid range chucks over double teams bad. But like LaMelo, it looks like sometimes he’s trying to make Tik Tok plays instead of the best basketball decision.

Now if there’s anyone that should be able to coach it out of him, it’s Jordi, but am I crazy for seeing these as a real concern?

More than anything I feel like 2k has a difficulty discrepancy especially with the challenges. I just want to see that it’s not just me.

Im working through the Void challenges, the first ~6-7 i finish on the first try, barely blink. Invincible Porzingis part, I cant do a thing. Ive quit 5 times because Hoodie Melo and Porzingis make absolutely everything, im jumping in their face, irrelevant.

Ive noticed that a bunch, some challenges are just impossible to me (and im just a casual player, not floating my boat here, dont know about adjusting sliders) and its not like i can do one thing differently, its as soon as the game starts, computer wont miss and either you can wait it out until they miss even open, or its unplayable.

I think I know the answer, but i started 2k up again after a couple year break and saw this new festival stuff.

I was collecting for the 99 Void Ace (heard hes ass but i just play with my faves offline) and have 11 DM pieces. Is that it? Saw i got a Shine piece for a breakout game now, do I exchange for 97+ packs instead or is there something I can do?

Not spending money, if thats my only option.
