Me and my firm has been introduced to the same company. How to resolve this conflict of interest ?

I work at a sell side firm in equity research. I reached out to a PM for a potential opportunity at his firm last week, and today I got to know (my manager told me) that my manager has also been introduced to the same firm via a mutual connection and is planning to reach out to the same PM for a mandate.

Now the PM has my resume, firm name and details at the same time he is CCd in that introductory email where my manager is also CCd.

My manager doesn't know yet but looks like a pure conflict of interest and potentially my firm's reputation at stake in front of that PM.

Should I just write another email to the PM and withdraw my application stating the situation ? And ask him to keep it between us ? I'm lost at this moment. Need suggestions.

Probably a bit early to speculate, but if you haven't received a call even after 7 days of applying, does that mean it's already in the rejection pile?

I've applied for an Associate role (non-tech/Asset Management unit) through a referral. It's been more than 1 week, and I haven't received a call yet. Although I have received an initial decision from two other similar banks where I applied on the same day.

If it's more than 7 days and still no call, does that mean a rejection, or is it too early to decide ?

Hi,

I've applied for an Associate role under the Asset & Wealth Management business unit. I've got relevant experience. I'm just wondering what my chances are of getting an interview call and what the typical timeline is from the day you submit the application.

Wondering if there is a WA group for fall 2027/2028 applicants targetiing US/EU MBAs.

I got a couple of admits this years but decided to drop my plan for now and re-apply again next year or up next year.

If we have one please share an invite, DMs are open. Or else we can create one.

Hi,

After paying my CC bill through, I have given an option to get a BOBCARD Premier(Lifetime free), with INR 1,97,000 limit. But when I started doing the process it says first year fee is waived, would that mean there will be fees in the consecutive years ? Or am I missing something ?

The other card I use - HDFC Millenia (1,97,000 limit), IDFC First Millenia (1,10,000 limit)

I've also attached a screen shot of thr BOCARD offerings.
