Hi! I’ve been in outpatient community mental health for several years and I love the work but the amount of documentation is draining. How much is there in hospital social work?

Hello! The more I try a million different samples, the more I realize no matter how much I like the top and heart notes, if I don’t like the dry down I can’t wear it. I am finding there are a lot I can’t stand but don’t always recognize them from the description. So I thought I might try sampling based on what I know I DO like. Can anyone recommend some of your favorites with any of these bases where they are not the star of the show but ground the other notes?

I saw a provider a handful of times for around 30 minute visit length. They are billing two codes both med management and therapy for around $500 total for a single visit with a single provider. It’s supposed to be $150 a visit paying out of pocket. I complained, saw an invoice for $150 and paid it. Turns out they charged me $300, credited $150 I had paid previous, the new bill I paid was another $150 FOR THE SAME VISIT. And now I have a NEW bill for $500 for the other visit.

I have heard hospital social work is mostly discharge planning. Is that true in a children’s hospital setting too for an LCSW position? Is there any role providing interventions and emotional support for kids and families? What does your day to day look like?

Hi. I just looked at my info on my account and it is a mess. I have been making my payments and turning in my employer certifications. It is showing some of my payments are qualified on one loan but not the other for a random period of time. And I do not have as many qualifying payments as I should. I called customer service and they “can’t see” anything on my account for the past two years. She told me to submit a “reconsideration request” so they can review it. Has anyone done one of these and how long did it take? What a cluster. TIA.
