Why would seeing aliens that look radically different from human beings like in the movie Arrival be an upsetting experience and cause an existential crisis for some people?

Warning: Spoilers for the movie Arrival (2016).

Rewatched Arrival with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. In it there is a brief scene (@ 57:32) showing riots as a result of the government releasing pictures of the aliens. Why would aliens that look different from humans (two arms, two legs, two eyes, nose, mouth, hands, feet) be so upsetting to so many people?

What is is it about appearances that causes the initial shock that results in outrage for some people? Or was this assumption just for cinematic purposes in this specific movie film?

I want just one custom sign that is painted on a license plate for my kitchen wall

It would just have a few words in different colors on it. I can’t seem to find anyone who sells them one at a time. I don’t need a bunch of them. Any ideas?

What are some of your favorite actors you discovered by their early work in horror movies?

I had to get Splinter on dvd as soon as I saw it!
First time seeing Shea Wigham. It’s always so awesome to discover a great actor’s/actresses’ early work in horror films.

It goes without saying examples like Sigourney Weaver in Alien. But what are some of your favorites that you still follow because you enjoyed them so much in a scary movie?

It's not that advanced so don't be intimidated! I would call it intermediate.

Brand new tips and tricks video from Ancestry genealogist Crista Cowan. She starts out by explaining why hints sometimes don't match your ancestor and why you should use search when you run out of hints and you're still missing a lot of info on your ancestor. That's the first ten minutes just to get warmed up. Easy peasy.

Her videos are very patient and I like how she is basically just presenting tutorials and how to's even if it's "advanced." She's helped me build out my tree over the years and I still watch to keep my basics solid and see if I can learn something new that will help me break through my brick walls.
