2012 toyota prius engine runs rough when car is cold, P0301 code

Like the subject says, I've only driven it once since the issue appeared, but after 3-5 minutes of driving it drove just fine. After parking and letting the car sit for an hour or so(it's warm and humid outside), the issue re-appeared briefly, then the car ran fine, this time it threw a check engine light though.

After letting the car sit in the garage for a few days I tried starting it again and just letting it idle in the garage, and the engine is running rough, didn't give it time to warm up.

I ran the codes and it came back with a P0301.

Let me know what my next step should be, is this something I could fix and/or diagnose myself? One of the videos in the common issues suggests unplugging the EGR and seeing if the issue goes away, should I try that here? to determine if it's a clogged EGR?

2012 prius 240K+ miles time to consider a new vehicle, or just hitting it's prime?

Just what the subject says, I'm curious to see what people think.

So far I've replaced one of the brake actuators, the inverter, and the front suspension, no other major work other than routine maintenence.

We need to talk about the mosquitos

How do you deal with them in the summer? I'm rocking long sleeves, pants, floppy hat all treated with permethrin, and with a mosquito net over the hat+my face. I rarely get bit, but I'm absolutely swarmed by mosquitos whenever I'm not moving to a level where I just can't stand it.
