Need advice
I don’t know if I have insanely bad luck or something but anyways. Bought my first house, everything seemed fine but then I noticed the previous owner had left some borich acid, and roach killing stuff in a cabinet it was in a box and the traps hadn’t been opened but the acid and bait stuff was definitely used like 3/4. The previous seller flipped the house and according to my neighbors the lady who the previous seller bought it from was a hoarder. He ripped up all the carpet(hard wood floors now), painted, new windows, etc. Neighborhoods nice, however, when I saw the extermination materials in the closet I went full panic mode (still am). I immediately called an exterminator and he put down glue traps to monitor activity along with spraying the outside and covering holes. I have not yet seen any roaches, I pulled the stove out and looked behind it nothing, same with washer and dryer. Check cabinets at night, nothing in the bathroom either. Now last night I saw this brown beetle in the spare bedroom upstairs, it wasn’t fast( I had enough time to grab a paper towel and grab it) and honestly looked more like a click beetle than a roach. Maybe this was a beetle due to it being the first hot day all year 93 degrees. Advice would be nice I’m currently in central NY.
