What if Ai reincarnated after all this time?

She is just living in like Liverpool or something and it is too difficult and expensive to get to Tokyo.

(This is not a serious post)

Akasaka talks about Ruby taking over as the lead protagonist.

How much would have changed if Aqua was the only one who reincarnated?

I feel like most of Ruby's drives and desires could still exist just wanting to live in her mother's footsteps.

Sarina definitely helps through the wish fulfillment angle but Ruby struggles a lot to get B-Komachi off the ground and she already outlived her previous life before she even starts the new B-Komachi.

It is not like Aqua needed Ruby to be Sarina to have his same protective feelings of her.

How much is Ruby actually Sarina?

Crow Girl says that Sarina was suffering from memory failures due to her condition. Is it possible that Ruby only has the fractured remains of Sarina's memories?

I know Sarina wanted to be a figure skater at some point, but I do not recall Ruby ever expressing interest so that could be a result of the fractured memories or just Ruby hating her original mother.

Akasaka views Abiko Samejima as the villain of the Tokyo Blade arc

I guess I should make a gallery of all my photos from the exhibit but this is good for discussion.

Currently all my photos of the exhibit are in this subreddit's discord server in the media section.

Akasaka Aka Admits to writing out Minami Kotobuki.

He admits that the manga got too dark to keep her around. Here is the original comment so you can translate it yourself.

Akasaka admits to faults on the 15 Year Lie arc.

I provided his comment in the original Japanese from the Miracle of the Stars exhibit if you want to translate it yourself. (I can post more from the if you want!)

His goal was to always kill Aqua as that is what someone seeking revenge must face, but the story grew larger and he did not know how to handle all the emotional arcs in the remaining number of chapters.

Why is Ruby called a Mary Sue?

She has amazing stage presence and charisma and that is about it.

She struggles to act and even though she did perform as Ai in the film it was a story about her own family and even then took lots of help from Gotanda and Kana.

She struggles to sing at the level where Kana is at and while she works to get better she never beats Kana in singing.

B-Komachi gets skyrocketed because the world finds out she is the daughter of Ai Hoshino.

She gets to play at the Tokyo Dome because people feel sorry for her (and Strawberry Productions is likely still footing the bill).

I mean chapter 128 of the manga gives a stat list for everyone and Ruby is mostly The Mario stat wise except for acting.

Her work as an idol means that she has no need to actually build the performances she gives, every aspect of it is dictated by someone else.

If there is anyone who is a Mary Sue it is Kana, she can sing and act and is probably more academically inclined than Ruby. She is not one because no one in the universe seems to recognize that she is the top tier character of Oshi No Ko. I do not seriously think she is a Mary sue by the way

How long can the Hoshino twins hold a conversation with each other...?

Before inevitably turning it back to their mom. I am surprised that no one else ever realized these two really do not have hobbies.

Kana needed an arc to reach her ending.

Seriously it has her in Hollywood.

Probably not even arc probably a full blown spinoff.

She was never shown to be making overseas contacts or even be good at English. In fact the series really rarely shows the characters even caring about success or projects outside of Japan. Nearly everyone in her position is either doing a one off project already set in Japan or is an actor that moved to the USA and built their way up there. There are other methods to get there, but several are already thrown off the table by the text itself as Kana has too much self respect for them.

The epilogue is not implied to be a huge timeskip, so what happened? Are we supposed to believe that the anglosphere really resonated with the 15 Year Lie?

For a series that prided itself on understanding the entertainment industry it is comical how it just absolutely stopped operating in anything resembling our reality at the end.

MEM-Cho was wasted

She is like an expert in all things online engagement and growth, but rather than try to go full force in that field, it seems to be used to boost B-Komachi as a traditional idol group. Rather than make B-Komachi's image unique in a larger pond. Mem-Cho was basically used to help legitimize B-Komachi in a dying industry.

I mean I know Ruby REALLY wanted to fulfill Ai's dream of playing in the Tokyo Dome more than total raw success but still she should have dreamed bigger.

They should be using their image/skills to compete in the same space as people like Blackgryph0n or TheLivingTombstone. Mem-Cho should have helped them

You might scoff at the idea that B-Komachi should relent and do fandom songs, but their current output is so vapid lyrically that fandom songs and dances would probably be an improvement.

B-Komachi could sell out Tokyo Dome without Strawberry Productions remotely taking a hit then go to the USA/Canada and get paid huge for the anime convention circuit

Aqua's plan.

How is one of the biggest subjects in the film that Ruby starred in disappeared right at its premiere screening and the body was likely found by the time of the wide release

This should be a death sentence to the film itself to be viewed sincerely and not some sensationalized, controversial true crime drama evidence.

And things get worse if they find the body of Kamiki, Ais lover.

There is no way this does not completely destroy Ruby's career on the spot. She is not this perfect positive idol, if anything people will be non stop questioning her about it.
