i've seen a lot of people wonder about what this song is about and i couldn't find any good translations so i decided to translate it myself since i know some korean.

this one is still by no means perfect but i did my best. i rephrased some parts so it could be understood even with minimal context, translated some parts that other people skipped for some reason, and there's like a couple question marks because they spoke over each other and i couldn't really tell what they were saying. also i used their official colours for the lyrics, except for chaewon, because her colour is white/silver and you can't see that with a white background, so i did dark blue for her

After last year's tour, I told myself I wouldn't go back down to the US, partly because it feels like the wrong thing to do rn but mostly just because I'm kinda scared of getting deported somewhere random lol(I know it doesn't happen often, but you never know). But now we have a tour again and I really want to go😭 I'm extra scared because it would be my first time travelling to another country alone+I'm not white. But also I'd be going to the Newark stop, so I should be fine(?) maybe i've just been spending too much time on the internet and going to the US is actually ok(?)

To those of you that are going, what made you decide to go and are you taking any special precautions or have any advice? And to those of you who've decided to skip it, why?

As soon as I heard Boompala, I knew opinions were going to be divided on it, to say the least. I loved it, though. (I didn't love the mv, if I'm honest, but eh, I'll live.) I've been listening to the song on a loop, tho. It's so quirky and the beat!! the beat is so good and I loved the bass on it too, can't stop headbopping when I listen to it. And also the members' lower registers are so satisfying to listen to!! We'd already gotten a preview of their lower voices in Easy but they sound so much deeper in Boompala and I loved it, especially Sakura's part.

I liked the macarena sample also, I think it's really fun!! Don't have any particular strong feelings on it though since I've never heard the full original song before, only short clips of it maybe (I know it was a very popular song apparently but I was more than a decade away from being born when it released so that's why I've never listened to it.)

I'm kinda tired of the negativity I'm seeing everywhere on social media though😭 we really can't catch a break. So guys pls comment what you liked about the song!! Let's at least have this post as a space for positivity💖
