GM SQE - Interview
Hey There!
I’ve a brief question regarding an upcoming interview for an SQE role (mid-level, 6+ years of industry experience,) and would greatly appreciate any insight here. From what I can gather, the vast majority of individuals follow a hiring process that largely resembles the following:
- Initial Phone Screen w/ HR (30min)
- HireVue (pre-recorded Interview)
- In-person Interview (1hr, Behavioral / Technical)
However, my process seems to be completely different. I didn’t get a call for a screener, or an invite to HireVue - rather, a direct 1hr technical / behavioral interview on Teams, with a Supplier Quality Launch Manager (my potential manager), and a Quality Director (likely his manager).
So my question is, does this in any way indicate only one round total for the hiring process, as these two individuals are almost certainly the decision makers. What is your guys’ hunch, and has anyone been hired here directly from one round of interviews for a similar role, or within Manufacturing? Anyway, regardless of the structure, I plan to interview with the assumption this one is what decides me being hired or not - I’m excited!
Thanks again, and I look forward to any potential feedback!
