Police tries to detain a woman standing alone by the roadside, with no other protestors in sight.

Another video of police personnel trying to arbitrarily detain someone. But the shocking part of the video is, that person is standing alone! Not even in a protest area or with other protestors!! Does Section 163 of BNSS empower police to detain literally any random person?

I already know some people would say, maybe she was abusing the police officers or shouting something at them etc. But according to which law does that empower police to detain her? Are some people in our country that blind that they'll ignore, or even worse justify, this behaviour?

It was pure good luck that some advocates saw this shocking scene happening on the road and came there to assist her, wearing their official clothes. Apparently even if you know the law and your basic rights, you would still need advocates to protect you.

Similarly many other such videos have come out where police antics are totally illegal, like detaining single protestors or those talking to the media, beating up peaceful protestors, detaining journalists etc, but the law only applies to common people of our country.

Journalists doing their job being detained brutally on 11th October

Just see how inhumanly police detained a prominent independent journalist today. She was reporting on the ground and they picked her up, forcefully carrying her away to a bus. The officers' dismissive and rude tone can be seen throughout, imagine how insulting and traumatic this must feel.

Another female reporter tried to ask her why has she been detained, and you can see how police picks up even that reporter and throw her in the bus. At this point they are arbitrarily detaining anyone whom they don't like.

Detaining journalists isn't legal but delhi police still did exactly that, even after today's Supreme court's order. How can some people still defend this treatment?

The people supporting police action, tell me how do you justify this? Or will you again turn away your eyes from the sad reality?
