There is a 1 in 7 chance that the big bang happened on a tuesday
reddit.comWatching SC Season 1 and FAMK Season 4 for the first time simultaneously
I guess i'll be seeing a lot of Soviet politics for the next week or so until I get to season 5. I just started episode 3, i'm expecting to see older Irina Morozova very soon!
A young Sergei Nikulov?
From the star city trailer on youtube.
Just finished season 2 this night, trying to catch up with season 6 when it comes out next year. My thoughts on that and expectations for Season 3 and upcoming seasons.
That was the greatest thing i've seen in years (granted, i don't watch a lot of movies and TV.) So much happened in the finale that i couldn't tell which was my favorite moment (but probably the Pathfinder>!launching its missiles at Sea Dragon.!<The tension was through the roof, and the resolution was nice too. I was already spoiled with>!Gordo and Tracy's deaths.!<It's unfortunate but I thought it was pretty well executed and somewhat necessary to keep the show going.
Unfortunately, I was already spoiled on some plot points on season 3 from youtube clips i watched a year or two back when I didn't think i would actually watch the whole series and from reading parts of the wiki when I probably shouldn't. Here's what I know so far (Obviously, spoilers for season 3.):
>!1. North Korea beats all the major players to the Mars race. (it's a funny idea, but not impossible. I'm not sure of NK's 1995 Ballistic missile capability in OTL but we have to factor the worldwide technological advancements in space exploration that would have likely been accessed by NK + Soviet support + A significant percentage of North Korea's budget could have been spent on the mission + Safety wasn't a primary concern)!<
>!2. Ellen becomes president. There's some foreshadowing to this at the start of the finale, when Larry is talking to the GOP guy. Also she gets back with Pam. I like this a lot! (I wonder how that's gonna play out though, since FAMK takes place post great party switch and I thought if Ellen was gonna run she would be a Democrat, or is there gonna be another party switch for season 3? Is America less polarized than it was in OTL? I'm not really sure.)!<
>!3. One (some?) of the (former) moon marines blows up JSC in the end. I think this could be a side plot with an equivalent importance to the Apollo-Soyuz plot in the finale of s2. Would definitely be interesting to see how their experiences in the Jamestown Crisis radicalized them to take down JSC.!<
Overall, I'm excited to catch up with the next few seasons. If i'm not mistaken the last season is supposed to end with>!first contact with aliens. !<(spoilering for those who'll read this 2 years from now,) so we'll see where that goes. How's it going for y'all in Season 5? >!Landing on Titan!<and a >!Martian revolution!<sounds very cool, i'd definitely be looking forward to those as well.
And Star City too sounds amazing, from the trailers it definitely seems more spy thriller than hard sci-fi to me, so i'll be looking forward to that to with you all as well.
