Acid damage on glass - repairable?
I bought a truck recently and had a detailer wash it. He applied Car Brite wheel acid to all of the glass trying to remove water spots and has apparently etched all of it. It looks like orange peel from the outside, and the image from the inside through all of the glass is blurry. You cannot feel it with a fingernail. He's tried a variety of things to fix it with no change so far. I'm trying to avoid having him replace all of it if possible, so I wanted to find out if anyone has successfully repaired this type of damage before, and if so what method was used? Thanks!
