I have spent countless thousands on bench knives. I have purchased several different models and I would say that my favorite model was the saibu with 20cv.

Well after having that knife stolen from me, purchasing another that ai retired and it being discontinued. It was time for something new so I got a bugout. I found the ones with the fancy scales to be ugly and overpriced so settled for one with regular scales figured I can upgrade later if i wanted diff scales so i did buy some aftermarket scales. 2 years later and after being a dull shit blade of the box(s40v coated) and it literally corroding and rusting unlike any other knife I have purchased (spyderco, hogue, reeves, kershaw etc) I decided that it was time to replace the blade.

Well, as you know, bench made make it absolutely fucking difficult to get anything that you want. They literally refuse to just let you buy a replacement part for what you need. And their lifetime #Warranty is a crock of bullshit because they charge you for everything so you might as well fucking just let people buy whatever they want. But of course, not that’s the beginning of their shitty customer service. All I knew is that I wanted anything but the same piece of crap s30v coated playskool quality blade that rusted through the coating

So I go to send my knife for their lifetime warranty in lifetime sharp service . Oh looky here I have to pay them for their envelope. I can’t just send in my own fucking knife, in my own envelope. I have to wait a week and a half to two weeks and I have to pay 10+ dollars for them to send me an envelope to send my knife. Again more dog shit customer service. I leave a note.

The note: I want to replace the steel with anything but s30v i dont want the same steel. You guys offer three different types of steel for the bench made bug out put any type of steel on there except the S 30 V steel. Again you force your customers to pay for a so called Warranty you claim is a lifetime warranty which should be free, because let’s be honest if you’re making people pay for shit at the end of the day that’s just another shop. Really all it is, is a shop you dont allow people to directly buy from. The shop is literally being gate, kept by your techs… and they refuse to let people get what they want for their knives.

So after all the bullshit of waiting for your envelope, sending my knife and leaving you guys a letter speaking again to one of your customer service representatives in person named Nathan. Who told me hed assure me they would replace it with the correct deal and then I would pay for it. I get an email from a mitchell, saying they fulfilled my request it was done and i owe 75 dollars to get my knife back. Ok for what? Literally in the invoice you guys offer zero fucking information about what you did to my knife what type of blade you did what was warrantied😭😭😭 literally just fucking asked me for $75. So again I have to call bench made wait on hold. Talk to a customer service representative who happened to be Nathan who told me that they refused to replace it with the deal that I asked for and they just replaced it with S 30 V.

So then I kindly asked Nathan how the fuck was that servicing my warranty request??? I literally asked you for an apple. You put an orange in a bag and tell me OK your request is done? Did you even read the fucking letter I sent? It said to replace the blade with you guys did clearly it was corroded through the coating. How the fuck does that even happen? Just dogwater quality for 300 fucking dollars. A knife with plastic scales that rusts if you carry it when yoy fart sideways.

So I told him I’m not paying for that piece of shit steel I told you guys that I wanted eithe rof the two other steels for the bugout they make. They told me that unless I bought the knife with the upgraded scales and blade then i cant PAY for the upgraded scales and blade. Again I can’t fucking pay they refuse to fucking sell me, something that should be fucking warrantied. But they dont warranty anything as i stated, they just refused to have a fucking store for any of their stuff make you think you’re getting a warranty make you send your knife in for something that they could just send the product you order.

What kind of dog shit ass knife company makes somebody take away their every day carry tool for up to three fucking weeks to replace it as if they’re incompetent and too stupid to replace the blade themselves. Seriously fuck benchmade get your shit together. You guys suck as a business.

This is my experience with you, you guys are awful at what you do, by the way you act you clearly do not give a shit about the people who buy your knives so again I’m gonna go out of my way as I told you on the phone to tell everybody how horrible of a company you are all of my friends who carry your knives. I’m gonna tell them to carry other knives. I’m quite a persuasive person when I want to be. When somebody fucks me over the way you have. Ill be sure to let everyone know so they too dont get fucked.

I will say this at least you saved me the time of having to call my bank over the $10 fee for your bullshit envelope. You guys refunded that immediately. Let’s see how long it takes to get my blade back from you shlockmeisters. It was nice when it lasted. Im retiring this absolute piece of shit benchmade bugout, buying a reeves or hogue and never looking back. Can anyone suggest a company who actually gives a shit about their clients and customers??

Tl:dr Benchmade fucking sucks at customer service. They refuse sell you the part you need for your knife. They claim they have a lifetime warranty but anything that they warranty they charge you for so again what the fuck is a lifetime warranty when you charge somebody for something just sell them the product. They wasted 4 weeks of my time away from my knife to only do EXACTLY the opposite of the warranty service I asked for and then REFUSED and said they would not warranty my knife. Just deceptive and horrible customer service from a so called business thats supposed to be high quality and have integrity, true scumbags.
