Ticketvorverkauf...

MacBook Pro not connecting to external monitors

Hey,

for a few months now, I'm using an UGREEN Thunderbolt Dock with my MacBook Pro to connect two monitors, ethernet, power, USB Dock with one USB-C cable. Under macOS 15 Sequoia everything worked fine. I could plug in or out whenever I wanted and monitors (dis-)connected accordingly.

Since the update to macOS 26 Tahoe there is a bug, which is driving me crazy. When the MacBook is active and I plug in the dock via the cable, everything connects (USB, Ethernet, Power) but the monitors... macOS doesn't even recognize there are monitors connected. The only solution to connecting the monitors I've found yet is to restart while the cable is connected. Only when the cable is connected on boot, the monitors show a picture.

It is a pain in the ass, as I always need to close everything I'm working on. I hoped it would maybe resolve with further updates, but didn't... Can anyone help?

Details:

  • MacBook Pro 16" Nov 2024 – M4 Max 36 GB – Tahoe 26.5
  • UGREEN Revodok Max 313 Thunderbolt 4 Dock 40Gbps Triple Display Docking Station
  • Monitor 1: BenQ SW272U
  • Monitor 2: Dell U2717D

Safe to swim with a used Series 7?

Hey there,

a couple of months ago I bought a used Series 7 Nike edition on eBay. It still has only few visible marks and no clear damages apart from small scratches on the screen.

I swim a lot and always went around using my Apple Watch to track my swims, but the feeling of wanting to use it is growing.

Years ago I already made the mistake of trusting on the promise of a waterproof iPhone with some fun at the pool and had to buy a new one.

Am I safe to use my Apple Watch for swimming? Is there a way to be safe? Or should I rather leave it?
