Family, family, family. Some thoughts so far

Some thoughts after finishing episode 6.

I've wished for logic to jump into this family's decision making each episode, so far it's not been a priority for me as I'm just floating on and enjoying the series for what it is.
However, if there isn't a restraining order against Neveah and some more interest from the police in episode 7, I'm going to be quite disappointed.
Still waiting for the death of Neveah's mother to be mentioned.
Still waiting for the big bad "what did they do?"
Still waiting for Crystal to give the Bowdens (or the show) ANYTHING.
Need some answers stat so I can continue to enjoy this beautiful train wreck!

As for Zack being Max's biological son, no. It has been clear as day for awhile now that Zack has been groomed into abandoning his biological family, and been drugged into believing himself to be Adam. I hate that kid, which means the actor is doing a great job.

Natalie though… Someone posted early on in this sub, linking Santeria orishas and legend to the plot and characters of Cape Fear, and it was so fascinating and well-put.
In the post, they made connections to the religion and the "daughters" of the show, providing a what-if scenario of:
Neveah believes herself to be Max's daughter, but infact is not.
Natalie is the true biological daughter to Max.
And what these revelations could create between both girls and the families.
That is the only direction I would want to see the showrunners taking us with all the ambiguity they've given Natalie's background.
And if not that, then I hope they just use it as what it is; a source of tension that will hopefully reveal itself soon as just that and nothing more!
The possibility of both Natalie and Neveah being his children, just feels too cheap to sell. And would kinda piss me off. Incest has had a rise in TV shows for the shock value and I'm over it.

It's been drilled into our heads that Max is wanting to recreate his family, give a family to the gods, etc etc etc.
If Max wants HIS family back, that would imply a mother and son.
He's successfully gained Adam's spirit back, and Zack has gone "to the gods," so to speak.
Who is mother?

If Max does intend to give a family to the gods, will it be the possession of the Bowden family partially, or in whole?

Is there a chance Max doesn't know all this work Neveah's been putting in?
Specifically living in the walls, the AI, the killing of her mother?
Part of me wonders if he knows ALL that she's been up to.
He obviously wants to see Anna and Tom suffer, as he expressed at dinner with them, but it's so painfully vague the way Anna and Tom have been constantly repeating "you know what you've done!" "you know what you're doing!" "you need to stop!" and the like, without EVER revealing details.
Purposeful so that we don't know what Max does/doesn't know?

It seems clear that the phone call Max made was to his dad, and that Crystal is his half-sister.
Would love to see what's she's been up to.

The exposition dumps have been heavy throughout while still not providing enough forward momentum considering we are halfway through the series. This episode was a fun ride but like a roller coaster it only brought us right back to where we began. Le sigh.
I would love to see the next episode buckle down, answer some of this bs (heavy-handed or smart clues and drops idc at this point), just give us something new.
