What was the best gift you received from a coworker?

Our Executive Director is set to retire next week, and I’m eager to find a thoughtful yet practical gift to convey my appreciation for her leadership and support. I’m particularly interested in suggestions that were well-received by others upon their retirement. Ideally, the gift should be compact and easy to ship, as she has already moved to another state. If you have any personal experiences or recommendations, I would love to hear them!

I am standing in my backyard in the pitch black waiting for a thunderstorm to come. Hoping it scares my cats in for the night.

I don’t know if it gets much more GenX than this. I remember my family standing in the street watching a storm come at us. Enjoying the wind and the thunder and the lightning. Just waiting for the rain to drive us inside, and sometimes that didn’t even work. I love a thunderstorm. How about y’all?

P.S. I live in the PNW. So we’re not talking tornado watching or anything like that.
