cannot get the right resolution on 4k monitor.

I have a 4k monitor and just can't get things right.

If I set to 3840x2160, the picture ends up taking up only like 1/2 the screen. It's like a little box in the middle.

If go 2560x1600 (which I'd rather not) then it's like 95% of the screen, I've got a grey border.

EDIT actually if i start the game it fills out more of the screen but... it feels slightly off, stretched out horizontally.

Also, I think it got kind of gibbled by the Windows 11 update last week.

What am I doin' wrong here

Do you have any little sorta mechanical tricks you use during your gameplay?

For example, I do this thing where when I vote on something like the World's Fair where I'm going to need to change all my cities' production the next turn: I move a unit that's just sitting in a city and leave them "active". This way it's a sort of reminder to do those changes next turn when otherwise I might miss the notification that the fair has started.

EDIT: thought of another one. If I've got a big war going I'll just skip past units in combat and do all the other stuff in the turn (workers, city production, etc) then all the combat units will happen in a row at the end. Otherwise you get that bouncing back and forth between the front and your domestic concerns, which drives me up the fucking wall.
