9 Mo. Old Just Diagnosed

My 9 month (almost 10 month) old was diagnosed with peanut allergy yesterday. She had a reaction to egg a few weeks ago so we went to see an allergist and they did a scratch test. Confirming she has an allergy to both egg as well as peanut. I guess the good news is we found out about this allergy the "easy" way, instead of experiencing a scarier reaction requiring medical intervention. We've since picked up her EpiPens, and will modify our kitchen immediately. I'm sort of reeling from this news and trying to stay calm. It's terrifying as a parent to have to navigate this. My husband and I do not have food allergies, so we're new to all this. I know this is so common and many people thrive inspite of it, but I know it does impact things like eating out, going to friend's houses, school/daycare, traveling, etc. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, hacks, kind words of encouragement?

When do you workout?

I have racked my brain trying to figure out when to incorporate exercise back into my daily/weekly routine. Currently have a 6 year old and 7 month old. As of now, baby isn't sleeping super well so I'm getting max 5-6 hours a night. It's made me prioritize what little sleep I do get so I can function at work and show up for my family. Which means getting up at 5am isn't going to work for exercise. We all get home from work at 4:30pm, but that's quality time I want to spend with my kids, plus we're working on making dinner, etc. After dinner, kids do bath and go to bed by 7:30-8ish. I am nursing/pumping so while my husband can help with the 6 yr old, the baby needs me for bedtime routine unless I pumped. I'm already pumping at work and it's not worth the extra dishes to add yet another pump just so I can get away during bedtime. I usually have an hour/hour and a half with husband before we pass out from exhaustion and begin my "night shift" of intermittent waking. Does anyone else feel they don't want to sacrifice the limited time they get with their kids during the day to be heading to the gym or out for a run? I'm thinking this might just be a tough season with having a little one, and I'll figure it out eventually once I'm getting more sleep. It's tough feeling like there's always a ball that has to drop to make room for something else. I could sacrifice sleep for the gym, or I could sacrifice time with my kids for the gym?--- both things that are already limited.

Surviving May

For moms in the US who have elementary school children... how are we surviving May? We have 3 school performances this month, and this week was teacher appreciation week with a different themed gift for each day. Now, the YMCA aftercare wants to do teacher appreciation week next week, again with a different themes and gifts each day. Mind you, there are 8 total "teachers". I totally appreciate our teachers, and we showered my daughter's school teacher with gifts (yes, for each of the days). Am I in the wrong to think that the YMCA week is asking a bit much? Is it enough to bring in a nice tray of treats/cookies one day for everyone?
