Earnings Report Since April 2026 (UK) - £1850.46

Hey guys!

Well, I've finally caved and made an account to start posting my side hustle earnings! Reading everyone else's reports is what got me trying half this stuff in the first place, so consider this my attempt to pay it forward (or lead someone else astray, we'll see)!

Quick background:

35m from the UK. Project-based contractor (tend to work on jobs varying from 6-12 months at a time, with unpaid gaps in the middle).

I have wanted to find a way to earn extra money for a very long time so that I can tackle debt, earn extra spending money and so that I have some fallback income streams for when I am out of work.

Below is a list of what I've earned since April of this year.

Just to note: This is all whilst working a full-time job! Oh, and this is without Prolific because I'm stuck on the bloody waitlist!

MONTH EARNINGS
APRIL 2026 £222.68
MAY 2026 £34.86
JUNE 2026 £1011.75
JULY 2026 £558.72
AUGUST 2026 £22.45
TOTAL £1850.46

Here's a list of what I've earned where:

Note: Amount is converted into GBP so might be a bit skewiff.

WEBSITE/APP AMOUNT EARNED
VINTED £1005.60
EBAY £392.73
ASKABLE £155.00
USERTESTING $116.00
USERCROWD $78.09
RESPONDENT $70.00
DSCOUT £36.66
OUTLIER £32.85
USERBRAIN £20.00
USERLYTICS €20.00
FEEDBACKED £3.00

A few highlights:

Vinted & eBay

Sold 82 items of my own. Now my house is tidier and I'm richer (well, kind of).

The results are a bit skewed because the majority of earnings from Vinted and eBay have been me selling my own stuff. Whilst this isn't an income stream that can be sustained (as you will literally run out of stuff eventually), it's a great way to start, plus decluttering is the most satisfying thing in the world. Convince me otherwise. Also, I will say that I have flipped a few pairs of trainers in that time, which seems to be a decent income stream so I may try that again on a bigger scale down the line.

Askable

Completed 12 paid research studies via Askable, including surveys, AI-moderated chats, and live interviews with real participants. So far so good.

Really rate Askable. If you're aiming for interviews, stick with it, it pays off. I've done a few quick £5 surveys that barely took any time, and also an easy 45-minute call about my posting habits (?) that paid me £35!

Usertesting

One of my favourites. Big earning potential once I'm no longer working in a shared office and free to be unhinged and talk to myself whilst on camera.

UserTesting is great. Lots of tests available. Yes you get screened out of a fair few, but there are always more. The ones I have taken have been straightforward, and the rewards are good (lots of $5 and $10 ones). I think this will be a good earner once I'm finished on my current project and am funemployed.

Final thoughts:

My aim is to start dedicating a lot more time to these hustles and any new ones I find. If you have any suggestions, stick it in the comments and I'll check it out! I'm also trying to get a regular side-gig on Fiverr, Upwork or PeoplePerHour. So far no luck, but it's early days. Watch this space.

Plan is to post regular updates and engage with anyone who has questions, so feel free to follow along and fire any questions my way! Happy earning!

Whatever you do... DON'T use my Monzo referral link!

Whatever you do... DON'T use my Monzo referral link!

Seriously. Don't.

Because if you do, you'll end up with a free bank account that actually tells you where your money's going instead of just vaguely judging you at the end of the month. You'll get instant spending notifications, round-up savings pots, and a card that doesn't look like it was designed in 2009.

And worse... I'll get a small referral bonus for absolutely no effort on my part, which feels deeply unfair to you, the reader, who has to do all the actual work of... tapping a link and opening an account.

So don't do it. Don't click [this!]. Don't switch your banking to something that doesn't charge you for being mildly disorganised. Protect your outdated banking experience. Don't get free money. Don't do it.

(If you do end up caving, no judgement... link's below)

🎉 You’re invited to join Monzo, and get up to £50! (Don't do it!)
