Hello I am currently 18(f) will be turning 19 by end of this year , I studied class 11th and 12th normally at a private school without any jee level prep or coaching.

So I took a drop year so I can prepare for JEE , before a month prior to exam , one of my family member died which had impact on my mental health and had some issues so , I somehow couldn't perform well in exams.

Currently I have two options , either to go to any private tier 3 college and do btech or I take DOUBLE DROP , so atleast I can for once give my best and see what happens , I am completely confused.

My dad won't easily agree for double drop , also he is saying to do my admission in one of college in Kanpur (where the attendance req is almost 90%) , I really don't want to atleast go to such college which doesn't even provide me free time for self study nor placements.

Please guide me.
