Hi all, I have an odd request from my client to use acrylics in several works on primed wood that will be displayed outside in NY.
** If there's a better place to ask this please let me know!! I couldnt find another sub that I thought would be better to ask. **
I've been painting with acrylics for years so I'm pretty familiar with their qualities. Typically for this kind of work I would use an exterior latex, I plan to do so but my client has some acrylics and acrylic concentrates that she wants me to use as shes had them for a while. So, to be clear, these are old acrylics that have been sitting for some time that will be used on an artwork that will be exposed to all kinds of weather in NY. I don't want to use them, however I had some ideas of how I could use them just to make her happy. I imagine the issues could be that the pigments would run or fade and that the paint would flake away over time.
My question is:
Will mixing old liquitex acrylics and concentrated acrylics with exterior latex paints last in the long term? (No Fading/Flaking)
