Excited to add some fish and small cleanup crew after cycling the tank. Next stop... The ugly phase!
Getting back into the hobby after almost 10 years and did my first aquascape with my wife. How did we do? It's a 75 gallon tank and it's hard to see in the pictures but there's is 4" all around the border to allow for water flow.
I am custom building a stand for my 75 gallon reef tank so that I can hide my sump setup underneath it.
I am using 2x2x1/8 tube steel (total overkill but I got the materials for free) but I am concerned that the top where the rimmed tank will be sitting might not be perfectly even.
I will be using pressure treated wood on top of the metal so the rim will not sit directly on the metal.
So my question is, should I put some 1" rigid foam board below the tank (not soft neoprene foam) to help with any spots that might not be level or is the wood enough? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
