No Frills Scottish Breakfast

Hi.

I'm English. Grandfather from Kincardineshire.

I used to work in Scotland often, and stayed in various hotels. Often they'd come with breakfast. I have fond memories of travelling from the North of England across the border to a more beautiful, peaceful place.

The breakfast would often include black/white pudding, haggis, square sausage and potato scones. And on an evening there was plenty of Tenants on tap. I very rarely work in Scotland anymore, unfortunately for me, though my relatives get me melee pudding which I like with my breakfast. I am craving this type of breakfast.

I have relatives in Kincardineshire though, who I'm planning on visiting soon. The journey will take me 5.5 hours in car from Yorkshire.

I'll be leaving at about 4am. Is there anywhere you can recommend en route for a no frills breakfast as described?

I've googled "best Scottish Breakfast", but it sends me down the wrong path. Often too fancy for what I want.

Many thanks.

Taking my boy out of the country.

Hello. So my boy has lives with me full time for the last 8 months. He is 13, and hasn't spoken to his mother in the last 8 months as she was not nice to him and likely very unstable health wise.

I want to take him on a holiday and have informed his mother of dates of departure and return, but she is not acknowledging this.

Legally I need her consent to take him abroad, but she will not respond to me. Or worse, I get stopped at border control and she sabotages the trip.

What do I need to do here? I'm worried that I will take him abroad for a week then get into trouble for abduction (I expect his mother might try get me into trouble).

It's UK to Spain.

Thanks

Edit: No court order, and previously overseas trips were managed amicably with notice. Also, my kid has same second name as me on passport.

Anyone remember this any idea where to get it?

It came with Corel Draw packages in the late 90s. I used it on a Windows 98 machine and you could do animations sequences.

Thanks

Not being funny, and I think I've been relatively patient. But it's nearly May and last year was told Steam machine out first quarter, then it was delayed to first half, but it's nearly May and no info on price or release date yet? Is this even happening at this point? Is there any updates at all?

I was thinking last year of using my steam balance to get one, but I'm getting a bit tired of waiting and I'm thinking of custom build instead at this point.

They reeled me in as an older, ex pc-builder who is perfect for this market because I CBA getting back into building, but now I'm genuinely bored of waiting to the point I'm thinking of just getting up to speed on the hobby again and not bothering with the steam machine at all.

When are we due an update on what's going on?
