Lip readers, how do you feel about those who need to be constantly reminded to face you when speaking?

I rely on lip-reading to understand speech and most people in my life turn to face me on reflex when speaking. Then there are those who need to be reminded every time we have a conversation. When that happens, I start to feel that the person is being dishonest and doesn't want to look me in the face while they're telling a lie. I realize, though, some people are just scatterbrained and need to be reminded about everything, so I'm curious at what point other lipreaders feel like a speaker is being malicious by not facing you. One of those people is my own mother, which is why this question is weighing so heavily on me.

"Who told you that?" (Nmom assumes I'm being manipulated by someone other than her)

"Who told you that?" is what my mom said after I told her I had an anxiety problem and it took me a long time to realize the implications of that question. She spent my whole life telling me how I feel and accusing me of motivations that I didn't have and the second I figure out something for my self, she assumes someone else manipulated me. Anyone have a similar experience?

I desperately need to know what was happening during that one moment in Jeff Goldblum's 2019 interview on the podcast

Hey - I'm a hard of hearing fan of the podcast who has been able hear most of what is said, and the parts I can't figure out I either look up the video version or just let it go. However, there's one part of Jeff Goldblum's 2019 interview that just so weird I can't let it go, but I also can't find the video.

I think most of you know the moment I'm talking about, but it's the part where Goldblum starts making little moaning noises and Conan keeps making short deadpan comments between the noises, seemingly trying to not acknowledge what Goldblum was doing (at least that what it sounded like to me.) It went on for so long, it made me feel like I was in the middle of a fever dream.

Can anyone explain what was happening at that moment, or at least link me to a video? I can only find his 2022 interview. Thank you to anyone who is able to help!

is the hitman in Legacy (s7e10) the real killer in Mayhem (s4e18)?

They don't catch the bespectacled gunman by the end of Mayhem and the sketch of the killer looked a lot like the hitman from Legacy. I don't remember anything connecting the two episodes but maybe I missed something or the writers changed their minds?
