Now that the feds are not requiring NFA registration for AOW items, I'm wondering if there are any mousey AOWs floating out there? Thinking of disguised guns such as pen guns, lighter guns, etc.
Looking for stuff that isn't like $3000 collector pieces.
This gun might be the simplest firearm commercially available in current manufacture - it has 6 parts total and doesn't even have a "real" trigger - when you pull the "trigger" as far as it goes, there is no bang! The trigger has no break, you are really just linearly increasing spring tension on a firing pin directly and the act of letting the firing pin go is what fires the gun.
The gun has 2 safety features, one is a typical button safety which blocks travel in the firing pin channel (but not 100%) and the other is a notch cut in the barrel where if turned into that position it prevents the firing pin from reaching the loaded round.
Who is the intended market? Not sure, I guess someone looking for the cheapest gun possible - but for the same or barely more money you could snag a saturday night special or a hi point on a good day. Maybe some niche use in euthanizing livestock or rat shot on pests. I got it because I collect stupid guns
I actually kind of like the weird mag release, has the benefits of a eurppean heel release while still being accessible to one hand. Otherwise need to shoot it to make an opinion on the gun but im just expecting a worse LCP.
Took it home for $300, how good or bad did I do?
I had never handled one before, was pleasantly surprised with the trigger. I also don't hate the grip safety. Like neither are fantastic, but I honestly had somewhat low expectations for some reason. I like this gun and could see it being a reasonable choice in the day.

Got this at a LGS for $255. Definitely worn but feels and looks mechanically solid especially after oiling. Haven't fired it yet
Do they run hollow point .22short as good as round nose? Only ask because where I buy ammo it tends to be easier to find hollow point shorts.
I'm looking to bump up my PI OPS capacity, runs perfectly with my 13 and 15 rd mec-gar magazines, so I'm debating on buying a 15rd mecgar mag and installing either the mec gar +2 baseplate or the bhspringsolutions +2.
Alternatively I could buy the 17rd magazine sold directly by EAA (mec gar? unclear) https://store-eaacorp.com/9mm-17rd-girsan-mc-p35-magazine/ or find somewhere that still has the 17rd magazine that is guaranteed to be mecgar
but I assume the mec gar 17rd is just the mec gar 15 rd with the +2 baseplate?
If you run a 17rd standard-compatibility hi power, what option do you use? I carry my hi power, so reliability is more important than cost for me, though cost is still a factor.

The Tec-22 had a 25acp variant supposedly according to wikipedia, source used being "(2004). Pistols of the World."
I'm sure the POTW author didn't make it up, but there is very little information about the 25acp tec-22 variant out there. I have to assume probably less than a hundred or so were made.
Curious if anyone has ever seen one online or IRL. and to be extra clear, I'm not talking about the Protec-25 mouse gun, those are relatively common.
25acp is THE mouse cartridge, but i'd enjoy a reliable larger 25acp gun as well. I believe the largest in my collection is the phoenix arms HP 25 or possibly the taurus PT-25

Not a big fan of derringers, but smaller ones of this style or the south american garrucha style derringers are neat to me. I've heard butler derringers often fail to fire. I'll find that out next time I go to the range - but obviously I got it just for collection purposes.
The closest competitor to an NAA mini is the mini revolver offered by standard manufacturing, however it has a very short barrel at 0.75" and it is more expensive.
I'd be potentially interested but the cost and sub inch barrel puts me off, the one thing it might do better is the opening mechanism for the folding grip. IMO the NAA mini folder is a bit too stiff and would be better if it was spring assisted.
If you've shot the "switch gun", let me know your thoughts on the grip and how good the build quality is overall. Thanks!
