Run walk or hike

I’ve been thinking / struggling with how to properly log my recent training sessions on Strava and wanted to see how you all handle this.

I live in Thailand and doing these 3-4 hour sessions that involve constant elevation gain (rolling hills). It’s technically on the side of the road/paved paths the whole time. The issue is the intensity, it’s a mix of running and walking.

If I log it as a "Hike," it feels inaccurate because of the amount of running. If I log it as a "Walk," it feels wrong because I’m definitely putting in the effort of a run. And "Hike" doesn’t feel right either, since I’m on a road, not a trail.

I want to keep my data consistent for my progress tracking, but I’m torn on the activity type.

Do you guys just mark everything as a "Run" regardless of the walk/run ratio?

Is there a specific way you handle "power hiking" or long-duration mixed sessions on Strava?

Would love to hear your thoughts or how you manage your own data for these types of workouts!
