Would you be happy with this quality?

I ordered a lilac Isabelle bag from the archives and despite it being an archives item, I am not sure what to think about it.

The color does not look very good and even. There are several spots where there is no lilac color but natural rattan and therefore the overall look is kinda faded.

Would you keep this? I’m on the edge of returning it, as it’s not the kind of quality and finishing I’d expect from a bag that’s sold originally for 190€.

Express shipping experiences?

Have any of you ordered with express shipping - especially during the archives? I made my order on Sunday and chose express shipping so that it would arrive before I’m going on holiday.

It stated it would arrive in 3-4 business days (in Europe) but it’s late evening of day 2 now and it’s still “in preparation“.

Before reaching out to Sézane I was curious if anyone here has any experiences.

9am PST archives haul

I thought I’d try my luck with some items when they dropped the archives III at 9am PST time zone (evening my time.)

The Sézane gods finally blessed me. I can’t believe I was able to snatch the 2 raffia bags! Didn’t even have to deal with the “in another cart” issue so I guess I was really lucky with the timing when browsing my wishlist.

I’d love to hear if anyone has any feedback on them or any other of the order items? I’ll be happy to share my thoughts once I get the order.

My archives bad luck continues: jenson trousers

Another item I was SO excited to finally get: the Jenson trousers. Only to make me look like an overgrown toddler lol

The fit is just so strange on my body. I don’t even know where to get started. There is not much extra space on the waist, it is quite tight yet it doesn’t naturally go/stay as high up as it’s intended.

If I pull it all the way up so that the waist sits where it’s supposed to be, and so that the crotch area isn’t hanging 5-10cm lower where it’s supposed to, they almost reach my uppermost ribs. The fit is crazy high-waisted. It‘s literally like 2-3cm from my bra. (I didn’t quite capture it on camera - in the pictures the trousers already fell a bit lower.)

Another issue is the crotch area falling too low making the trousers look very baggy and not flattering at all.

There isn’t much space to take them in on the waist - which makes it problematic for possible alteration. Also the zipper going all the up to my very top ribs is making it a bit difficult to adjust the size ( I’d probably have to get the waist shortened by at least 5 cm and have the zipper changed in the process, which in my area would end up costing 2x what I paid for the trousers.)

I guess there’s not much to do but to return them and hope someone with a more suitable body type will give them a loving home. Even if it’s Sézane I’m not willing to spend a fortune on alterations. Just bad luck that the items I wanted the most were just really underwhelming IRL. 😅

For reference for my surprised reaction; in the last pic I‘m wearing the Alexio trousers which are _the exact same length_ 🥲 just Totally different fit.. (Both in size 34, I’m 160cm.)

Malia (andion) skirt IRL

I ordered the Malia skirt from the Andion drop and just got it today. It turned out to be a disappointment since the color looks, hmm, dirty..?

Maybe it’s just me but the print doesn’t look so good IRL as in the website. To me it looks like as if it got ruined when washing it and the colors got mixed / stained. I know it’s the intention of the print but I’m not a fan of it.

When I tried it on it made me look like I put a garment on that had been in the attic since 1980’s. It just didn’t look fresh. I had really high hopes for this but since I can’t unsee the “dirtiness” of it I will return it.

Otherwise the fit was fine (TTS) and the fabric seemed ok.

Just for reference if someone is thinking of ordering it. :)

Is this Archives II or a Black Mirror episode?

What is it with Sézane that makes us so maniac? Worldwide us women in our 20s to (my guess) 60s are spending HOURS on the website trying to get items most of us don’t truly need. Some wake up in the middle of the night for this. Plenty of us probably spent the morning/night manically refreshing the app to see if an item “in another basket” would suddenly become available.

Within a couple of minutes most of it was gone - or at least in those famous baskets for the time being.

Not judging but reflecting; this time it really got me to self reflect my own behavior while I was laying on a couch trying to get some trousers that I don’t need for 2-3 hours until they were gone. Just to do it all over again next Wednesday and/or Sunday and the next archives and —-?

Are we sure we are not part of a Black Mirror episode because it would surely make a good one lol

Not to mention the evergreen “add to cart” button when one clicks on it only to find out the website is playing with our sanity again, as usual.

(In the end despite my 20 item basket I only ended up ordering a couple of Paulas in different sizes + a Camil t-shirt. I never got the trousers since someone else was able to snatch them. 🥲)

Hope this didn’t sound too negative - in the end it’s just clothes. Happy Sunday!

Archives review: Edwin jumper + Malia skirt

I can’t praise the Edwin jumper enough, it is probably my favorite piece from Sézane. I asked them in the winter if it’s coming back and they said no but I was so happy to find them in the archives again.

I paired the red Edwin with a vintage white skirt and also tried it with the Malia skirt.

Malia review:

+ quality seems good

+ colors are really vibrant

- the pattern doesn’t always align

- the fabric is quite thin but not see-through

• the length is short - for reference I am 160cm - for taller people it might be too short

• I probably wouldn’t pay full price but for 45€ I’m happy with it

Edwin review:

+ colors are really vibrant and lovely

+ good quality and material (merino/cotton)

+ pairs with almost anything summer-winter

- they are a bit long to my taste but that’s just my preference (I have the Edwin tucked in in every picture.)

(There was/is also a lilac Edwin in the current archives. I’ve had once since last summer and can 100% recommend it. The color is fantastic. I get so many compliments every time I wear it with the Alexis trousers.)

Misheard ND lyrics

Let’s share the funniest misheard lyrics of No Doubt songs.

I’ll start: when I was 10, I genuinely thought that this is how ‘Don’t Speak’ starts:

“Everyday

the moon will do something---“

(Yep, wtf. Needless to mention I was a non-English speaking kid lol.)

Does anyone know if there will be a short version of this Pippa dress?

I love the print but the maxi length doesn’t work for me. If it was available in the shorter version of the Pippa dress, that would be amazing.

What’s up with the sleeves Sézane?

Why do they make them so big and puffy?
