Why do so many guys play co-ed and also seem to dislike playing with female players?

Off the back of the "Which positions are the most commonly played to least commonly played by women in co-ed?" post yesterday, a lot of (presumably male) posters commented on their technique and strategy to best to hide their female players, make sure that they don't ruin the game for them. Any good co-ed captain and team knows that teams ride and fall on the strength of their women, and while y'all are saying how you find it hard to retain women players, you're also talking about them like they're a nuisance and automatically gonna be shit rather than giving them a chance to improve and shine.

But also - why on earth did y'all opt to play a co-ed sport?

Hey folks! My slowpitch softball team is seeking a player for the upcoming season. We play in the top division so we're hoping to find someone with some experience, but I'm also a part of a huge league that has loads of teams at all levels, so if you want to get involved (even if you're brand new to the sport) please drop me a line and I can help point you in the right direction.

It's a great way to find friends and a community in London.
