Hi everyone. I’ve been studying music production for about 3 years. It’s been an ongoing battle trying to sit down and learned it. I DJ on the side and for 2-3 years I feel in love with bounce. Techno has always been my shit for about 6 years but once I heard bounce I grew determination to create it.
I did a certification program for commercial music. My professor was very unorganized and ADHD. So going off track was a regular thing. I don’t work that way. I need structure. I was on logic during that program. Learned more about music theory/business/ history than the actual production side.
I personally don’t like logic. I’ve always wanted ableton. Finally this year I bought it and tried to mess around. Made more progress than I did. I move to another city and decided to try a one on one instructor that specially works with ableton. First session went fine. The second was a complete joke. He charged me $75/hr (I was doing two hours)
Just for him to waste the first hour talking and the last hour was literally something I can’t even explain. He showed me claps & bass within one hour. ACTUALLY won’t say an hour bc I think this man was literally under the influence. He started talking about non sense & we would sit there in silence looking at the SETTINGS screen. Not even the work area. So in frustrated.
All I want to learn is how to create bounce music. Like 240km. Anyone can help with any advice.
I want to start off with a list of components & then tips and tricks to create the wubs. I could honestly use any advice or help
& yes I know there’s YouTube. The two guys I tried to follow along don’t explain how to create that sound or what clap to use etc. they just place this there and that there and blah blah blah. I learned more from those little reels on IG
please send help
