Crazy theory - probably spoilers ahead

I’ve been mulling over this theory and will see how well I can explain and flesh it out:

It’s The Captives War, and so far we’ve only really heard from the captives, and not the captors. Im sure many of us have theorized that the humans are as much captive to the Live Suits as all the species (human et al) are captive to the Carryx; but what if the Live Suits aren’t at war with the Carryx but rather a parallel to them: an AI like machine? What if the Half Minds have captivated the Carryx? As the instrument of communication - across light years and species, and back - they could easily have captivated the Carryx as much as the Carryx seemingly captivate other species. So ultimately it’s this galactic level battle between two god-like AIs?

It’s either that or hacking the half-minds will be how Dafyd and the Live Suit(s) take down the Carryx.

Refoaming project fun - Paradigm Atoms

Finally got around to restoring the pair of Paradigm Performance Series Atoms my father handed me down.

If you want to reconnect with that 7 year old version of you that loved to play with LEGO and had music playing all the time at home, I could not recommend a project like this more. A ~$30 kit and a 2-3 hours of hands on work and some more time waiting for the glue to set, and the speakers are performing fantastically.

Hopefully I can post more pics in the comments…

Greens omelet

Last night I made ramen, and had leftovers. So today I sautéed the komatsuna some more, scrambled eggs with some mushrooms, corn, noodles, sesame oil, soy, and garlic powder; poured that mixture over the greens, popped it in the oven preheated to 350.

It slid out of the pan perfectly and I’m enjoying it right now with a side of kimchi and my morning coffee.

Stainless Meal

Cooked some yogurt marinated chicken breasts on the stainless steel.

I mad some Swiss chard in that enamel pot, and trimmed and kept some of the stems for the deglaze.

Cooked those chard stems and the whites of green onions in the fond, then deglazed with lemon juice. When the bits were off turned the heat off, tossed a tablespoon of butter, the greens of the green onions, and cilantro.

In the fond of the smaller pan I cooked some baby leeks (might be my new favorite veggie) with a it of water to steam and deglaze that fond.

Also roasted carrots in the oven (on cast iron) to go along with the dinner.

I had been only using Libby for audiobooks from my library, and they hadn’t gotten a copy of the audiobook. But, by chance I was in the library itself and looked up the hard copy in one of the terminals to see if it was on a shelf. To my surprise it showed me that there was an eAudioBook available.

Confused because I had just checked Libby earlier that day I tried to reserve it and to my surprise it showed me that it was available on Hoopla. I only then realized they have separate catalogs on Hoopla than Libby.

TL;DR: if you only check Libby, check Hoopla, too, and you might be a winner like me. (Or vice versa.)
