Sleep problem

After my update yesterday my sleep on KDE suddenly stopped working. The sleep function works perfectly fine on plasmalogen and hyprland. It seems specifically on KDE.

Whenever I close my laptop lid or select sleep, and then touch my touchpad or keyboard, only the keyboard backlight starts glowing again. TTY doesn't work for some reason. I can't really do anything at this point, so my only option was to long press the power button until I forcefully kill it and make it shutdown.

When I selected "turn off screen when closing lid" it seems fine and the display shows up again after closing and opening the lid.

On the plasma login which is before logging in, sleep works fine. On hyprland it works fine as well.

Any same experience? I think I just need to wait for an update but I thought I would share.

I feel like I am having a too good of an experience

I heard Linux was a lot of a learning curve, and people like me who have been using Windows only, I thought my Linux experience was going to be a rough ride. But the reality was that there was absolutely no issue at all. No audio issue, no Bluetooth issue, no display issue, full smooth display, fast, snappy. no bloat.

And seeing some YouTube videos of people trying out Linux for their first time, I feel like I was having a too good of a smooth ride, and I'm worried that in the future when stuffs acually goes against me, I am going to have a realy really bad experience. I know hardware is a big parameter when it comes to linux but still.

Do you have any advice for me to make sure I can keep using Linux for the rest of my life? cachy os is my first ever linux and it's been about 3 months. My hardware is a ZenBook S14 with an Intel Core i7 and an integrated IGPU.

Cachy大好き

今日.exeファイルをダメもとで、自分でパッケージとか入れて、イジらないといけないんだろうなとか思いながらクリックして起動させたら、あっさり起動してくれて顔射

Linux爆散

人生初Linux、一度もデータを壊すこともシステムを壊すこともなく順調かと思いきやwindowsをshrinkしてlinuxに拡張しようとしたところ、いろいろミスって爆散。

Once I realized the stuff I do on my computer can be all done in a browser and doesn't really depend on a soft weare, I should have switched to Linux sooner.

I know CachyOS is not the "best first distro" like Linux Mint, which aims at people who are just getting into it. But I am totally in LOVE with it, and I think I am going to stick to it.

I installed a prebuilt dotfile after I got a little used to KDE Plasma, and did my own customizations on some .conf files like hyprland and the terminal. (The quick shell widgets are not mine)

As a dude who just started using Linux with no knowledge of programming, I know it's not going to be a smooth ride, but so far, so good.

I'm currently dual booting linux and windows where 800GB for Windows and 200 linux. When I first decided to install it, I really didnt had any plan to daily drive it, but now I feel a bit different.

Are there any tips to make 200 GB Windows and make the rest Linux without deleting the current Linux data?
And any advice for me, who just started out and has no programming knowledge?
