The final season of _____ made me appreciate the final season of Stranger Things More

I hated ST5 when it came out. I was so pissed that they barely killed off any characters. But honestly? With how poorly the few characters they did kill off were handled (namely Eleven's "half" death) it was probably for the best. Besides, I've come to appreciate the real theme of it, where the real death was actually the death of childhood. And given how The Boys Season 5 was made worse by almost all of the deaths being underwhelming, I'd say ST5's lack of deaths was probably a good thing.

Maybe there is some bias, because I am more of a boys fan than a stranger things fan, so the boys final season annoyed me more, but even so, when watching st5, I remember being bummed that there was so few things about it that I liked, whether that be the performances from Nell, Jamie, Gaten, Caleb and Sadie, or the inclusion of Derek, or the fact that it only had one standout episode in Sorcerer. But, you know what? At least it had those things. The Boys on the other hand only had one good episode at the very beginning of the season and I wouldn't even consider that a standout. The actors are trying but unlike Stranger Things, pretty much every single character is given crappy material to work with in this season so they can only do so much.

The more I thought about it, the more I realised I only hated ST5 because of the last two episodes. The rest of the season had actually been pretty well built up until that point. Plus, Stranger Things 5 may not have had a very good story, but it at least felt like it had a story, and The Boys doesn't even have a good enough epilogue to save it. Now of course, I can't say what happens in The Boys here due to spoilers, but what I will say is that it is the most predictable ending imaginable.
