Testers needed for a free stuff in your neighborhood app

Testers needed for a free stuff in your neighborhood app

Good morning everyone!

I've been living in Berlin for almost five years and one thing I've noticed around the city is that there's an abundance of free stuff. But I've also seen so many nice things get destroyed by the weather (rained-on books, muddy clothes, electronics, etc.) which otherwise could have gone to a good home. It's nasty and sad to see such good stuff (some of it anyway) get ruined and clutter the city. It looks nasty, smells nasty, nobody likes it.

I created an app called Free the Stuff to help me (and hopefully you) with a few things- find free stuff in the neighborhood, keep Berlin (and all cities for that matter) a bit cleaner, and avoid having to chat with strangers on Kleinanzeigen (the Craigslist of Germany). I'm an introvert, no judging :) While my focus is on the Berlin area, I'd like to expand to other cities if it takes off.

I'm a few testers shy of the required 12- as my app relies on UGC, it's been a struggle to get enough friends, colleagues, and family to test this and see any meaningful generated content. So I thought that I'd turn here for some help. I of course can reciprocate and test your app. :)

I've really enjoyed building this and would appreciate any feedback if you're interested in trying it out. It's 100% free, contains no ads, nor does it track anything other than free junk. I'd like to make it better and need some help. :)

Please reach out if you have any questions and I'd be happy to answer. Also, please remove this post if it violates any Subreddit policies.

I built a free app to help people find and list free stuff in Berlin, looking for Android beta testers

As a full-time developer and dad, I created an app called Free the Stuff to help me (and hopefully you) with a few things- find free stuff in the neighborhood, keep Berlin a bit cleaner, and avoid having to chat with strangers on Kleinanzeigen. I'm an introvert, no judging :)

I'm trying to get this thing approved through the Google Play Store, and one of the requirements is having 12 active beta testers for two weeks straight before going live. Since the app also relies on user-generated content (I've been doing my part!), I'd really like local Berlin testers before expanding to other cities. I'm planning an iOS version in the next few months, so stay tuned! Feel free to share the links if you know someone who is interested. The more feedback, the better.
