Bar scene for mid to late 20s

My best friend (26F) recently became single, and she’s starting to get back into the dating scene. She is coming stay with me this weekend for a little girls night, but I don’t go out very often. What are good bars in the area for her to mingle & meet people, without any of the college chaos? Also taking recs for dinner spots, we are tired of always going to BLDG5!

Reselling a Dress

Hi guys! I said yes to a dress a few months ago, but immediately after I kept having dress regret and wasn’t sure if I said yes too early. I felt obligated to say yes because of my family & the timeline I have. I haven’t had it altered yet, but it’s also non-refundable. I am going try on my dream dress tomorrow to see if I end up changing my mind, and if I do I would have to try to find a site to sell my original dress. Are there any websites anyone recommends to sell unworn dresses? TIA!

Dress regret/advice

SOS, please let me know if anyone has experienced this or has advice. I said yes to a dress in early April to keep the timeline for my April 2027 wedding on time. I got that “feeling” in the dress so ultimately I said yes. However, there is another store I had went to before I found a dress with a specific brand and a new line of dresses, and they had this one particular dress I felt was my “dream dress” but they did not have it in stock at the time. They just posted online that they finally have that specific dress in store, and now I’m spiraling thinking I said yes too early. I would regret not even trying on the new dress even if it’s not the one. Would you advise me to try it on, or to try to forget about it all together? Has anyone had dress regret & ended up getting a totally new dress AFTER getting one? And could I sell the first one if I change my mind? HELP i’m spiraling.

Bridal makeup

2027 bride here! Located in Louisiana, my wedding will be in New Orleans. I’m looking for opinions from current and past brides to help me make my decision. I am very much a perfectionist, and I also LOVE doing my own makeup. I had a bridal trial a few weeks ago ($200 just for a trial). The makeup was pretty, but I still touched up a few things because of little details I pay attention to. After that trial, I’m coming to the decision of just doing my own makeup with products I know that work for me, especially with how picky I am & how I already enjoy doing my own makeup. I don’t see the point of paying someone hundreds of dollars for something I don’t fully love & will end up touching up. That being said, my friends and family think I should still look for an artist so I don’t have to deal with the extra stress of doing my own makeup on my wedding day. Has anyone done their own makeup & felt confident in their decision or vice versa? Please help!
