2 weeks in the balkans

Fit all of this in my backpack, but my neckpillow is what is TRULY carrying. It’s got all my tops, sleep t-shirt, and pajama pants. I haven’t actually packed the black sweater top pictured at the top of the second picture since it will be my knitting project while I’m traveling!! So it’s actually just some yarn in my bag right now haha. I’ve also got toiletries and makeup in my bag too + electronics which just consists of my digital camera, extra charger, and a portable)

I’m taking a Wizz air flight to Albania but the rest of my trip I will just be taking busses so I’ll be able to expand my backpack (currently I don’t have it expanded but doing so adds a LOT of space).

I’ll be traveling leaving tomorrow and traveling for two weeks through Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia. I run pretty hot due to my SSRIs and I feels like I’m perpetually overheating, but in this case it works to my advantage!! It’ll be in the high 70s-low 80s pretty much the whole time

Concerns/Would maybe like advice -

  1. I’m wondering if I should bring another light long-sleeved layer?
  2. I don’t necessarily think I need my pashmina with me on my trip however there are some mosques I want to visit in Albania and I may need to cover my head for these. Has anyone traveled there and do they have experience?

So excited for this trip!!!

Edit: Detailed image descriptions in comments :)

Update: Started my journey, dropped a tank and a pair of shoes and added a lightweight waffle knit to throw on, i unfortunately don’t have any midi skirts that would be good for the weather (im already living abroad so wardrobe is limited) but my linen pants will hopefully be all i need 🥳🥳 thanks for all the advice!!

FAQ: Backpack is from Parfois (i think they are EU only?) and the app is Indyx (if anyone wants they can use my referral code sophdoph5510)

Hi all! I am going on a trip to the Balkans the last week of may/first week of june, so an early summer trip. I decided to be brave and I am attempting to one bag it with just a personal item since I booked myself a Wizzair flight to Tiranë, Albania. This is the bag i’m taking: https://www.parfois.com/de/de/reisetaschen/kabinenrucksack-aus-nylon/246883_LMXL.html

I am looking for a day bag I can use that would be bigger than my standard uniqlo crossbody I usually use since I’ll be doing some longer day trips that would require me bringing lunch, drinks, a towel etc. I was looking into packable backpacks but haven’t found any that look all that cute and that is a factor for me honestly. I’ve got a packable grocery tote I always bring with me in my crossbody, but I do prefer being hands free in way that it doesn’t really allow.

So! Looking for a day bag:
- larger than uniqlo crossbody
- can fit compact towel, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen etc.
- packable to fit into my personal item for budget flight

Please lemme know recs! I have been considering this one from Heisan:

I am just worried it may not arrive in time.

Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Thanks for all the recs! I think i’m gonna go with either the Longchamp backpack or Fjallraven totepack depending on which I can get for a better deal on vinted 🤞
