Terraforming and layout help

Desperately looking for help with my island layout and terraforming! I’ve done most of my Island and I don’t really want to move any of decorated parts.

I want the top part of my island to be more rural looking and the rest of it to be the “town”. Im having trouble with the terraforming on the top right where my house is going to be, I want it to look like it’s in a wheat/lavender (hyacinth) field like the designs in the Pinterest pictures.

I’m really struggling with how big that area of second level should be and I’m also unsure of where to put the river, I just ended my other river with a fence which works in the “town” but idk about the rural area.
