Got accepted to my alternative major, wondering what the school is like + major,

Hey ya’ll! I got accepted int CSUS for my alternative major. Initially, I applied for the nursing program but it was extremely competitive and didn’t get in. I’m waiting to hear back from one more school but honestly, I feel like the chances could be low. I returned back to school in my early 20s (29 now) and only had the vision of trying to get into nursing, but I only realized now that I never earned a bachelor’s and am thinking, why not?

What’s CSUS like? Are there any health science majors who’d like to share their experiences at this campus? How is socializing or making connections?

I’m sort of bummed for realizing now that I can accept my alternative major since I didnt get to apply enough CSU or UC’s but its still meaningful that I got into CSUS :’)

Appreciate yall!!

Feeling anxious and pressure in potential opportunity. Could this be due to the horse year for rats?

Hi guys, so I don’t fully understand the zodiac regarding horse year. I did read it beginning of the year and it made me anxious it since I’m a rat (fire rat) 1996 and we got it the worst lool. I’ve read a few posts here with some saying to stay low, and others saying there’ll be changes/ transformations.

Well, I’m currently facing this type of change and I wanted to ask if this pressure I feel could be due to it hitting me. I’m 29 and unexpectedly got admitted for an alternative major for college after getting rejected into nursing schools. For some reason, I’m feeling drawn in wanting to enroll as I’ve never received a bachelor’s, but I’ve never moved away from home. It’s only 3 hours away. but that would still require for me to move, find a new job, and pay everything out of pocket. It’s a whole new random experience for me and I do feel scared of this opportunity. I don’t know if I were to go it’d be impulsive and whether or not it would good to me. I wanted to ask here because lately I’ve been feeling both excited yet anxious in looking at housing because it’s just all new.
I’m planning to attend the orientation which is June 4th.

Any answers are appreciated, thank u!
