how its you're relationship whit youre parents after deconstructing

im still deconstrcting, and im fighting very often whit my parents, but we are tryng our best to not destroy our relationship. i dont want to lose them, and they dont want to lose me. but obvisly theyre best desire is that i bacame christian again. i love them a lot, i whish only that they are a bit more flexible and open minded (but i need to say: that they are really tryng to understand me, and they did change in some topics theyre opinion)

i know every situation at home is different. i just want to know if its possibile to have a good relationship whit youre parents in a contex like decontructing

como encontrar nuevas amistad?

Hola. Dentro de unos meses me mudo a Barcelona y, la verdad, me da un poco de miedo porque no conozco a nadie y empiezo una vida totalmente nueva. ¿Qué me recomiendan para hacer amigos allí?

my parents are forcing me to go to a christian college

So, due to one thing and another, I am now stuck in a situation where I am starting an evangelical seminary this September, which I really do not want to do. I’ve had a lot of fights with my parents over the last few months, and somehow we arrived at a pact: I will try it for just one year. If I like it (probably not), I will continue. If I don't like it, I am free to go to whatever school I actually want. However, they obviously will not help me economically with that next school.

I am okay with doing just this one year, especially since I will be moving to a new city, and in a way, I will still be studying something I like (even if it will be heavily influenced by evangelical theology).

But I still have a few problems: First, I will be living on campus, so I will be surrounded by very devout evangelical Christians. How do I cope with and tolerate that environment for a whole year?

Second, how do you meet new people outside of the church? I really want to make friends who are non-believers, but I don't know where to start.

And finally, how did you guys manage to become economically independent?

did anyone went to a similar expierence? please i need youre help

EDIT: hi, just to let anyone know, im not american, and its very funny how everyone assumed im from america. im from europe and the university system its very different, we dont have comunity college, and here school its not that expensive. everybody wad really nice, and thanks you for the advice, but i think the most of it just dont apply whit my situation. its was my fault to specificly sayy that im form europe, but A reminder to all my fellow americans, that america its not the standard! but still thanks to alla the advice :)
