starting pennfoster highschool
so im 15, about to turn 16. at the start of 9th grade i left in person school, tried acellus for a bit and hated it, only got through a few classes and then just stopped. ive been months without doing anything school related since. now i want to do penn foster but have no idea where to start or how anything works
how do credits, classes and esp electives work, how are exams, and assignments, also academic hold i keep hearing of.. how does that work because i hated when acellus would make me stop working until next week after 40 steps, and how long does it take to finish? i also have no clue where id place since i only did a little bit of 9th grade and i really dont want to end up graduating late. pretty sure id just restart from 9th grade id prefer that, so how do i transfer my 8th grade credits?
ive also heard people say penn foster is kind of like a GED which worries me a bit, so is the quality of education actually decent? because it seems too easy in a way like 6 months fast track for whats supposed to be 4 years of hs? and how do universities see the diploma for admissions in the u.s since i do plan on going after i graduate with hopefully some sort of scholarship which idk if that would be possible.
also im currently abroad in the middle east in a country penn foster probably doesnt recognize, but i have a us phone number, us payment and im a us citizen born and raised so i dont think itll be an issue. ill be going back to the us after high school anyway. just wanted to mention it in case anyone has dealt with something similar
any advice or experience would really be appreciated because i have no idea what im doing or starting !
