I've had this plant since April and it has been very happy and I've had around 10 - 15 flowers from it. Certainly a favourite of mine. It was average to well draining soil and is placed in direct sun however the ambient temperature inside my hope has risen considerably during a heatwave (approx 30 degrees celsius) and at this point all growth has stopped.

It has a single new sprout which has remained looking the same for 3 weeks now and I wonder; has the heat slowed it down? I totally understand if so but as a beginner I have no clue!

Fairly new to this type of plant, I do have a Fockea Edulis that thrives so I'm fairly confident.

I got a Ipomoea Pubescens recently where the caudex itself was one uniform colour however I noticed (I'm assuming that it's due to it being summer and maybe it's changing due to it storing water?) that the colour changes, it appears wet but is firm and is pushing out new growth.

Does anyone recognise this interesting colour change? Is it any cause for concern or is there a fairly understandable reason for this?
