Course of treatment
so I have hydrogen and methane combination SIBO, woo! I was treated with Rifaximin 4 years ago but that alone was not appropriate treatment for the combination version so it came back/was never cleared.
anyway- I have a new doctor who prescribed Rifaximin and neomycin together. apparently since the last time I took Rifaximin, my insurance removed it from their list of formularies. ie. I have to pay out of pocket ($3k) for one course of it. I cannot afford that.
im wondering a few things:
do you guys have any hacks on how to access affordable Rifaximin?
has anyone tried medtronidazole 250mg and neomycin 500mg together? That’s what my doctor says is a good alternative so I’m wondering about lived experience with that combo.
any combination SIBO sufferers with advice for this specifically, please share!

Advice needed
I have wavy/curly hair and it’s super fine. the weight of my curls ends up flattening the top of my hair. does anyone have advice on how to better manage this? it gets super frizzy in the summer humidity and I typically don’t use heat products.
