I apologize

As a true xbiker, I tried to do the ridiculous (after being advised not to) and tried to put corner bars on my gravel bike instead of drop bars. The brake levers had 0 strength and had no business being in that position. Now I have my tail tucked between my legs and am struggling to get one of my levers off the corner bars to put back on drop bars (might have stripped the bolt). I will continue to do ridiculous things with my bikes but learned the hard way about this particular one. How many demerits am I pinged??

Underground Event Pricing

Random thought, but I just realized that underground/"DIY"events have ticket prices that are about the same/more than the prices of full clubs ($20+). As a person who frequents these shows a lot, it seems like this is opposite to the goal of being more accessible spaces for people who are trying to get away from the over produced music scenes that've taken over. I'm fortunately able to afford the ticket prices at this point in my life, but I'm thinking of younger people who don't have as much flexible money especially with how the world is draining us of every little penny. I get there are costs associated with setting up spaces, but I'd assume that since these are being thrown in "non traditional" ways, a person should be getting access for much less. Were these types of events so pricey back in the 80s/90s or were they cheap experiences that most people could get into? What do other people think about this? (don't give out specific event details, keep the underground in the underground)

Yappedemic Rant

Pardon the rant on a topic I'm sure has been brought up many times already, but it continues to boggle my mind every time I go out to dance, seeing groups of people standing together having full conversations in the middle of techno shows. I'd really like to understand the rational behind coming to some of the loudest experiences that a person could have, just to treat it like you would a Starbucks get together. I'm usually a solo partier and go out to jam to music, but even when I went out with groups in my younger years we would have limited conversations because we'd all be jamming! Talkers have always been a thing, but I'm a little weary that social media is making events that used to be for serious enjoyers more open to Casuals who just want a group activity where they can catch up together and it just happens to be at a music show. I usually record songs to listen to later when DJs drop bangers, and the amount of conversations you hear in the background is wild! Curious about other people's thoughts on this, especially if you're a person who meets up with friends as clubs mainly to chat
