My first car 2023 EV6 Air AWD

Finally joined the EV6 & gravity blue club. Its my first car, a new to me 2023 EV6 Air AWD Long Range w/ comfort pack.

Drove around 600km from pick up to back home in northern Italy. Incredibly smooth drive and seamless ultrafast charging experience on the highway. Averaged around 17.5kWh/100km for the trip, which I think is pretty good considering it was mostly highway.

Love the color too. Looks almost black in the dark but under sunlight the blue really comes out.

A few questions for the experienced owners:

  1. Wireless Carplay : whats the smoothest/reliable solution you’ve found? Would love something that becomes plug and forget.

  2. Tires : I’m in northern Italy, so legally i need winter equipment during the season (winter tires, suitable all season or chains carried in the car). Currently it has the stock Kumho summer tires and have 40k km on them. I’m considering switching to Continental All season contact 2 and just running them year round. It basically hasn’t snowed in my city for 7-8 years but it does go below freezing in winter. And i go snowboarding roughly once a month during winter. Don’t expect to drive in deep/serious snow but i could definitely encounter light snow, slush or icy roads getting to the ski area car parks. Summers are not extreme here (this year was an exception all around Europe)

Anyone using All season contact 2 on the EV6 year round in similar conditions? How would you compare them in terms of efficiency, comfort and road noise vs the stock Kumhos?

  1. Drive modes & regen : I’m currently experimenting with everything but I’d be interested to know long term owners have settled on. Especially balancing efficiency with a smooth/natural drive feel.

So far, though, I’m absolutely loving this car. ❤️
