Prologue:
The game begins in Purgatory, the fully upgraded Saints Row 2 hideout, in middle of a large party celebrating one year since Boss reawakened from coma and began their ruthless revival of the Saints in Stilwater. They have almost everything, all the rival gangs are gone, Ultor's Stillwater branch under Eric Gryphon essentially acts as Saint's large legal business front, and the cops under Troy are extra lenient towards the Saints. The only possible threat is Dex, and he seems to have vanished from the face of the Earth. Then the party is interrupted by a large police raid. This is the first mission, where the Boss, Gat, Shaundi, and Pierce fight their way out of the besieged hideout. Despite their best efforts, they are captured and placed under arrest. They are also informed that Troy, along with large number of the Stilwater police force and Eric and several high level executives in Ultor has been arrested as part of a massive police investigation against the Saints.
Boss and his main gang are "bailed out" by the mysterious twins Viola and Kiki, who takes them to their private cargo plane. Here the Boss meets with Viola and Kiki's Boss Phillipe Loren, who actually was responsible for the police raids on the Saints and their allies. Philipe is the leader of the Morningstar, a high level gang under the Syndicate. Syndicate aided the authorities as the Saints activities were interfering with Syndicate operations on Stilwater, and offers to let Boss and the rest of the Saints go if they submit to the Syndicate. Boss refuses and we get the airplane fight like the actual game. Gat gets killed, and Boss and their surviving gang falls to Steelport.
Act 1:
Boss and the Gang sets up their intial base of operations in Shaundi's Ex's home. This acts involves Boss learning about how the Steelport underworld works, recruiting key allies and mission givers like Kinzie, Angel, and Zimos. Each mission exposes the conflict between the Steelport factions of the Syndicate. The Deckers are defeated in this act, with Matt Miller at the Boss's mercy, with a major decision whether to kill him, or let him live. No matter the choice picked, the Boss learns through Matt that Dex is working closely with Loren. It is in this part where gang strongholds Safehouse and Burning Hill are conquered. This act ends with the attack on Morningstar penthouse, basically the famous and awesome mission with Kanye West's "Power" playing in the background. Phillipe Loren is killed in a boss fight in this mission, while Dex successfully flees. Oleg is also rescued and recruited in this mission. The Morningstar penthouse becomes the official Steelport Saints Base. The Syndicate striked the Saints during a party in their turf, so the Saints repaid the favour.
Act 2:
The first mission of the second act begins with the Boss discovering Dex's current whereabouts and confronting Dex, who was in hiding and about to leave Steelport. After a lengthy battle, an injured Dex attempts to justify his betrayal but is killed mid speech by Killbane himself, who tells the Boss that he came to repay a favor, since killing Loren and destroying Morningstar actually benefited Killbane's gang, as they take over former Morningstar properties and assets. Kiki and Viola offers a temporary truce with the Saints to fight against the Luchadores, which the Boss has a major decision to join or ignore this pact. The Luchadores are relentless against the Saints, even attacking during Johnny Gat's funeral. The 3 Count and the (formerly) Syndicate Tower strongholds are conquered during this act. This act ends with arrival and occupation of the STAG, in response to the increasing violence and crime rates bought by the presence of the Saints.
Act 3:
In this act, the Boss leads fight against both the Luchadores and the STAG. The intial police raid on the Saints was the precursor to what would officibe known as the STAG. In this act, Boss and Angel fights and wins against Killbane, with the Boss taking Killbane's mask in a cinematic cutscene. The final mission about STAG launching final strike against all gang activity in Steelport, with Cyrus giving a speech implying that what is happening in Steelport is a test run for what is soon going to happen in every American city. Meanwhile, humiliated maskless Killbane and his most fanatic underlings kidnaps Shaudi and Pierce, and the Boss have to rescue them before they are killed. The final major descion is whether defend the Saint headquarters from STAG (defeating STAG in the process), or stop and defeat Killbane from killing your friends.
The two endings are:
Rescue Ending: Boss focuses on saving their friends. Killbane is finally killed for good, but everything the Saints worked for in Steelport has reclaimed by STAG and the local authorities, with most of other Saints in jail or dead. However, the Boss has a plan, with using what remains of the Saints to form a guerilla movement against the true enemy, the US government.
Saints Ending: Boss focuses on defending their headquarters from STAG forces, with eventually ending with the death of Cyrus and Kia. The US government officially declares STAG a failure and blames Cyrus and Kia for going overboard. Boss takes full control of Steelport, with the local media bribed to potray the Boss as a liberator who fought against a tyrannical high tech paramilitary group. The Saints never have been this powerful.

"You know, in the future, we won't sit and read newspapers in the morning. Instead, giant robots will control us in human death matches." -Doofenshmirtz, episode "Nerds of Feather"
The main star Ametra is an anomalous aka a miraculous star. The star is extremely massive (about 40 times the mass of the yellow dwarf Daizou, who provided light and energy to early humans on Zanam), yet unlike other known stars of similar size, it is very metal rich and has been there for billions of years, providing a stable anchor for the other suns in the system. The ancient humanity was right to recognize Ametra as the "Queen of The Sky".
Surrounded by the Great Disc, large expanse of hot dust and particles that revolves around Ametra, home to the irradiated and bombarded world of Acheron, that probably emerged from collection of dust and particles.
Orbiting from a great distance is the second planet, the gas giant Caelum and it’s three moons. Caelum and it’s moons are ruled by the Holy Commonwealth, with the sacred moon Merida as their capital. Caelum system is filled with most extensive and fully maintained orbital infrastructure in the entire cluster, especially their Antimatter extractors around Caelum. Caelum is seldom welcome to outsiders. However, they do offer tech maintenance services and knowledge to those paying a very hefty price or at least in some rare occasions, allowed to operate missionaries and charities on their client’s realms.
The second planet is the ringed gas giant Vesper and it’s two moons, the Earth sized world of Lengashar, a world of dunes and dragons, and the abandoned derelict rich airless moon of Obolus. Vesper and Lengashar are filled with extensive and fully maintained orbital infrastructure, though some are abandoned due to many millennia of age, damage, or just failure to maintain the ancient technologies onboard. Due to the Commonwealth's strict isolationism, the market on antimatter and other trade of coveted resources beyond Imperial space is cornered by the ruling global coalition of Lengashar, the Union of Lengashar.
The second star orbiting Ametra is Daizou, an yellow dwarf surrounded by an ancient, failing dyson swarm. The Daizou system, the cradle of humanity for countless eons, is now under the rule of the 5th Grand Empire of Ametra, more commonly referred as the Imperial Federation, ruling from the capital world of Zanam, the homeworld of humanity. It has called the Imperial Federation since the notorious Tiamat Rebellion, which ended in the Treaty of Shambala that lead to vastly increased autonomy for imperial territories and vassal states, as well as stripping almost all power from the position of the Emperor/Empress.
The Imperial Federation is currently an extremely diverse civilization, with countless cultures and polities under it. The real power behind the Imperial Federation are the megacorps, the Imperial Ministry of Defence, and most shamefully, the Fuel Barons of Shambala, the descendants of the very rebels who lead rest of their lunar breatherns to fight their Zanami overlords, only for them be enslaved by their own lunar neighbour.
The third and fourth stars orbiting Ametra are Yellon and Gryse, twin red dwarfs locked in a binary orbit. They are surrounded by the Twins’ Belt, a large asteroid field, filled asteroids, planetoids, and orbital infrastructure both functioning and wrecked. Twins’ Belt is ruled by what many collectively call the The Ten Thousand Stone Tribes, thousands of mysterious independent orbital colonies who seldom leave the belt, except for a rare trading or raiding expedition. As far as anyone is considered, tribes probably sees no difference between the two words.
The first planet in Yellon-Gryse Gas Giant Heng, home to the two allied moons, the earth sized moon Kordon (a world of great oceans, where people live on islands or on giant sea fleets) and the jungle moon of Tallgarden (a world where the people live in fortifide enclaves under the shadows of trees taller than hills and great ancient megastrues that even dwarf the native trees). There exists, extensive orbital infrastructure on Kordon, Tallgarden and Heng (antimatter and gas extraction), though many of infrastructure are only partially working at best. It is a popular myth among the people of Kordon and Tallgarden that they were descendants of whatever civilisation ruled the moons of Crasus (most people believe them to be part of the 3rd or early 4th Grand Empire of Ametra, though has been growing evidence pointing it to be a fully independent civilization from the start).
The gas giant Crasus and it's moons are the graveyard of the Ametra system, haunted by abandoned megastrues, dead colonies, mutants, and rogue machines. Only the most foolhardy or desperate ventured their for treasure or knowledge. That somewhat changed when Lady Zia, a Lengashar business mogul, spend most of her wealth setting up a colony on the moon of Greyscar. Initially seen as an act of madness, soon other wealthy oppertunists and their most desperate thralls began to settle on Greyscar. Greyscar is now ruled by fortress-city states governed by "Scavenger Lords", each using their subjects to explore and loot advanced technologies for them, as well as fighting and general labour. Often times these subjects would defect from their lord and hide among the ruins, becoming bandit rebels, eventually overthrowing a lord and taking over as an new tyrannical lord.
Later explorations revealed that the Martians, who were in a mid-20th century tech level, fought over last remaining habitable zones and resources as the full effects of Mars's gradually decaying magnetic fields are revealed, dooming Mars into becoming the dry and cold world we know now.
I belive these discoveries would have a major impact on humanity, not only about the question of life outside Earth, but more pressing concerns like possibility of Nuclear Armageddon and Climate Change.
Daizou: Orange dwarf.
Yellon and Gryse: Twin red dwarves locked in a binary orbit.
Ametra: white mini quasi-star (about 30-40 solar mass) that serves as the main star of this system.
