Color Assistants: Tell me what you really think

I feel like the attitude of assistants is very different now from when I was assisting. There seems to be a lack of ownership of projects and a disregard for details that I find really surprising. I feel like I have a good enough relationship with my assistants, but they don't seem to put much into the work they do for me - oftentimes feels like the bare minimum. I tell them all the time that I'll teach them whatever they want to know, but the second my sessions end every day, they're gone. They claim to want to be colorists, but if that was true I think they'd be acting differently. They don't seem happy with their jobs, either. Even though objectively, they're working half the hours I used to work as an assist, and I really push for a work-life balance for them.

So color assistants, you tell me - what do you wish your colorist did differently? What recurring issues have you had with them? What do you want your relationship with them to be like? What have you always wanted to say to a colorist but couldn't??

Gold Bond Lotion Replacement?

Just found out that gold bond has been discontinued in canada and I am devastated. I've been loyal to gold bond for YEARS I feel like it's the perfect thickness that it actually moisturizes, but doesn't leave oily residue. Does anyone have an actually good alternative? I absolutely hate lubriderm, aveeno is too watery for me. What do I do :'(

Ativan/lorazepam for emetophobic fear of flying?

I have a 5hr flight in 2 days and have already started fear spiralling about the possibility of someone throwing up near me - it has happened to me more than once that the passenger next to me v*mited and it happened on my most recent flight a couple months ago. Even more times than that I've seen it happen with someone across the aisle from me. My fear with this used to be more manageable but after not flying for a while during covid, the fear has become somewhat unbearable. I have to wear noise cancelling headphones, an n95 mask, and an eye mask to keep from completely panicking. It doesn't help that I feel like I have a "sixth sense" for when someone is going to v*... happened on my last flight. I had my eye mask/noise cancelling headphones on but suddenly had an overwhelming feeling that the girl next to me was going to v* - and I was right. She had no air sickness bag so I grabbed one that I had packed in my backpack and gave it to her. It really reinforced all of my fears, even though I swear I don't know a single other person that this has happened to!!

I finally asked my doctor to prescribe me an anti-anxiety medication and I now have some ativan to take. Has anyone else taken ativan/lorazepam on their flight for emetophobia and felt like it helped?

IUD graphics

Is anyone else frustrated with the new icon if you have an IUD/birth control? Day to day, it’s useless to me to have it say “year 6”. It was much more informative when it said what day of my cycle I was on, as I still do get a period. I wish we could mod this, it makes me want to get rid of that metric altogether or just lie to oura about not having an IUD!
