Inherited a Muscovy Duck with a house I bought

Hey folks!
I just bought a house, and the owner had to leave her 3 chickens and Muscovy duck behind - she’s getting older and just can’t care for them anymore. I’ve been asking her questions, but I’m worried she wasn’t taking the greatest care of the duck at the end.

It’s just one female duck - is it lonely? It also seems to be limping and relatively lethargic, and only perked up when I brought out grasshoppers and mealworms for a treat.

I’ve heard niacin for the limping may help, but does she need a duck friend? Any other advice welcome!! Thanks so much!

Hello folks! I’m looking for recommendations for a landscaper that is knowledgeable about both native plants and pollinators. I’m closing on a house on Monday, and the land has a lot of potential, but I definitely need help with what to plant!

There are also chickens that come with the house, so I’d love to find someone who knows what kinds of plants/grasses will keep them happy and what to avoid
